We at Immanuel Lutheran Church have been richly blessed by God. Sure we have our share of life's pains and struggles, just like the rest of the world. But because we have a faith in God as our foundation, we are held up instead of being knocked down.

Not everyone knows the forgiveness that sheds the light of grace on shame. Not everyone knows peace that is promised and granted. Not everyone has the benefit of knowing the love of Jesus.

Matthew 28:19-20 "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."

As much as we may want to share the peace, the forgiveness and the love with all that seek it, we don't always make the most of all the opportunities to share our faith.  Some of us are natural evangelists and can talk to anyone about Christ, but many of us seem to stammer and stumble not knowing just what to say.

The Missouri Synod has set a goal to reach 100 Million unchurched people with the message of Christ's love by 2017, the 500th anniversary of the reformation. In order to reach that goal we all need to be equipped to carry that message when ever we can.

To motivate and equip us to share our faith we are participating in a process called Groups Ablaze. We pray that our entire congregation will participate in this process. For information about Groups Ablaze CLICK HERE
